Ever been in a shoot (as a model or photographer), and actually realized how utterly surreal the situation is?
A few times spring to mind... Like seeing a model in a transparent latex bodysuit washing and drying dishes... Or worse, another who insisted I put my knee in her back, when helping her to pull a zentai bodysuit on.
The most comical must be the completely unfazed waiter bringing a tray of drinks into the library I was shooting a nude vampire set in. The location, which will remain unnamed (the gothic house used in the Rocky Horror Picture Show and countless Hammer House movies), had a massive library, a constant stream of helicopters and concierge that stripped every power plug of fuses he could find, when our lamps started blowing them.
Possibly the strangest situation though to date, is standing on the roof of a house in Yorkshire last September, with three models dressed as German Stasi officers. I'm still not sure how we got away with it...
Let's hear your surreal shoots (and see them, if you've got pics)!
